Hi, I'm Bjorn. Welcome to the place on the internet where I keep my stuff.
This partly-finished site has been sitting around on a hard drive, unpublished for months, if not years. I've finally decided that it's not getting many views where it is, and I've gone ahead and just published it. There will be broken links and missing stuff, and other issues. Hopefully having it up where people can see it will actually motivate me do do something about all that stuff.
Here you can find a variety of things, mostly related to retro computing. I have a collection various software tid bits that other retro enthusiasts might find useful, as well as a few things that I have made myself, such as wallpapers and splash screens. Eventually I'll be uploading an unfinished game or two as well.
I also have a section I've simply called 'feed' for want of a better word. This is kind of a micro-blog where I write a little bit about what's going on in my brain today, as well as a terrible photo taken with a terrible camera..
I also have a writing section where I upload short essays and other random writings, aiming to update it once a week.

About me

I am a German/Australian - I was born in Das Vaterland, I still speak German (badly), and I think of myself as German, but I have lived in Australia for most of my life, and equally think of myself as Australian.
I've been living Down Under for long enough (since 1988) that I have an almost completely convincing Australian accent, and only get mistaken for a South African sometimes.
I'm a pathologic nostalgic belonging to the so-called Xennial microgeneration. Having been born in 1984 I'm apparently supposed to identify as a Millennial, but like many other people around my age I find the label doesn't quite feel right, and Gen X isn't much better. In short, Xennials are usually described as having had an analogue childhood and a digital adolescence.
I have ADHD (something I think the world desperately needs a better term for), and as a result have way more interests and hobbies and projects than I know what to do with, and am passionately invested in all of them.

About this site

This website is written entirely in HTML 3.2, with no css as far as the eye can see. Who needs style sheets when you have tables? Tell me I'm wrong.
Seriously, tell me. Somebody clearly needs to.

It has been written mainly with Netscape Navigator 4.04 in mind, but I've tested it in a variety of browsers of various vintages.
This is mainly for compatibility - for other retro computer enthusiasts who feel like visiting this site with their vintage rigs. (Of course for the time being, while it's only being hosted on neocities, this point is moot because old browsers are incompatible) But it's also because I like the purity, simplicity and resourcefulness of using pure HTML (and I have an irrational hatred of curly brackets).
